Control who can access a course — and sell it separately
Decide whether a course is free for everyone, included with membership, limited to specific subscription plans, or sold on its own as a package. All from the course's Access & monetization settings.
The three access levels
Free for everyone is your lead magnet — great for a starter course that shows off your teaching and funnels visitors toward membership. Gated (members only) is the standard setting: any active subscriber can take the course. Restricting to specific plans turns a course into a premium-tier perk — only members on the ticked plans get in, which gives people a concrete reason to upgrade.
Access is enforced at playback, so even someone with a direct link to a day can't watch without the right access — they see a clear message about what's required instead.
Selling a course as a standalone package
To sell a course on its own — separate from the monthly membership — put it in a bundle. Create the bundle in the Bundles area of your admin, add the course's collection (or its videos), and set a one-time price. Buyers unlock exactly that package, whether or not they subscribe.
When a course is reserved for bundle buyers, members without it don't hit a dead end: they see which package unlocks the course, with a path to buy it.
Timing the release
The Visibility section handles when a course exists at all: Published now, Unpublished as a draft, or Scheduled to go live at a date and time you set — with an optional 'Hide after' date for limited-time programs. This is separate from drip, which paces days inside a course that's already live.
Step by step
- Open your course in the admin and scroll to 'Access & monetization'.
- Choose 'Gated (members only)' to require an active membership, or 'Free for everyone' to open it up — including to logged-out visitors.
- To limit a gated course to premium tiers, tick specific plans under 'Restrict to subscription tiers'. Leave it empty and every member with access can watch.
- Write the short marketing pitch shown at checkout.
- Click 'Save changes'.
Good to know
- Combine plan restriction with your pricing page: a 'Pro' plan that includes exclusive courses is one of the easiest upsells to explain.
- Everything here is also readable and editable through the AI assistant and the API.

Lock course days until the right moment: unlock them a set number of days after each member enrolls, or on a fixed calendar date for cohort launches. Locked days show an unlock date and can't be skipped.
Free previews, trailers, and your sales pitch
Let potential buyers taste a course before committing: mark individual days as free, add a trailer video for non-members, and write a short marketing pitch shown at checkout.
