Monitor subscriptions, trials and retention cohorts
The Subscriptions view tracks active subscriptions, MRR, past-due payments and trials ending within 7 days — plus a retention table showing how well each month's signups stick around.
Your subscription health snapshot
Four cards give you the state of your recurring business: active subscriptions, estimated MRR, past-due subscriptions that need follow-up, and trials ending within the next 7 days. The past-due number is your dunning list — members whose payment failed and who will churn silently if nobody acts. The trials-ending number tells you who's about to make a buy-or-leave decision this week.
Both are early-warning numbers: checking them weekly means you intervene while there's still something to save.
Retention by signup cohort
Below the cards, the retention table groups members by the month they signed up and shows how many from each cohort are still active today, as a count and a percentage. This is the clearest long-term health metric you have: it tells you whether the members you attracted in, say, January are still with you in July.
Read it for patterns rather than single months. If retention improves for recent cohorts, whatever you changed — onboarding, content cadence, pricing — is working. If a particular month retains unusually badly, look at what you were promoting then.
Going deeper
For transaction-precise churn events, the page links into your Stripe dashboard's subscription reports. And the same numbers are available conversationally: ask your AI assistant (Benny by default — tenants can rename it) 'how many trials end this week?' or 'what's our retention by signup month?' and it reads the exact same data. Pair this view with the churn-risk insight in the People view — retention cohorts show the outcome, churn risk shows who to save next.
Step by step
