Run live classes with a bookable schedule

Turn on the Live schedule to give members a two-week calendar of live sessions. Instructors create classes — online over Zoom or in person — set fixed or pay-what-you-want pricing, and get paid via Stripe.

What members see

With the Live schedule enabled, members get a "Live classes" page in the menu showing a day-by-day calendar for the next two weeks. They click a session to read the details and sign up. For online classes, the Zoom link is sent to the participant after they sign up — it's never shown publicly.

In-person classes appear in the same schedule with their location and a "Book / buy ticket" button that links to the page you choose, so you can sell tickets wherever suits you.

How instructors create sessions

Instructors manage their own sessions from a "My live classes" page. The first time they take payment, they connect their Stripe account — payouts go directly to them. Creating a class takes a title, description, start time, duration, and either a Zoom link (online) or a location (in person).

Pricing is flexible per class: a fixed price, a donation model where the participant chooses the amount above a minimum you set (with an optional suggested amount), or free. The platform keeps 10% of each sale; the rest is paid out via Stripe.

Keep the calendar honest

Only enable the Live schedule when you actually run live sessions — an empty calendar is worse than no calendar. If you pause live teaching for a season, flip the toggle off and the page disappears from the menu until you're back.

Step by step

  1. Go to Settings → Pages and sections and turn on "Live schedule".
  2. Have the instructor open "My live classes" and connect Stripe the first time (required to take payment).
  3. Click "New live class" and choose online or in-person.
  4. Fill in title, start time, duration, and the Zoom link (online) or location (in person).
  5. Set the price: fixed, donation (pay-what-you-want with a minimum), or free — then save.
  6. The session appears automatically in every member's Live classes calendar.

Good to know

  • Announce new sessions with a broadcast so they land in every member's notification bell.
  • Donation pricing works well for community classes — regulars often give more than you'd dare to charge.
