Save reusable email templates and send them by name
Write an email once, save it as a named template with name placeholders, and reuse it forever — from the admin or by telling the AI assistant "send the welcome template to this member".
Why templates
Any email you send more than once — a lifetime-member welcome, a "we miss you" note, a how-to-get-started message — belongs in a template. You save it once with a name, a subject and a body, and from then on you (or the AI assistant) can send it in seconds without rewriting or copy-pasting.
Templates support placeholders that are filled in per recipient, so every email still feels personal: {{fornavn}} inserts the member's first name, {{navn}} their full name, and {{tenant_navn}} your site's name.
Creating and managing templates
Open Members → Email templates in the admin. Give the template a name (like "Lifetime welcome"), a subject and the body text, and click Save. Existing templates can be edited or deleted from the same page.
Prefer chatting? Paste your text to the AI assistant (Benny by default — you can rename it) and say "save this as an email template" — it asks what to call it and saves it for you.
Sending a template
With assistant email sending turned on, tell the assistant something like "send the lifetime template to anna@example.com". It looks the template up by name, shows you a preview of the exact recipients and message, and only sends after you confirm. Template sends use the same safety limits as all assistant email: at most 20 recipients per send and 100 emails per day.
Step by step
- Open Members → Email templates in the admin menu.
- Enter a name, a subject and the body — use {{fornavn}}, {{navn}} or {{tenant_navn}} to personalize.
- Click Save.
- To send: ask the AI assistant to send the template by name, review the preview, and confirm.
Good to know
- Name templates by their job ("Trial follow-up", "Lifetime welcome") so they're easy to call up by name.
- Test a new template by sending it to your own email address first.

Let the AI assistant email members for you
With the "Benny can send email" feature on, you can ask the AI assistant to email one member or a small group from the chat. It always previews recipients and text first, waits for your yes, and obeys hard limits.
