Send an in-app announcement to your members
Broadcasts are one-way in-app messages from you to a chosen audience — all members, active subscribers, free members, trial members or a specific plan. Members read them in their Community messages and can react.
What an in-app broadcast is
A broadcast is an announcement that appears inside the platform, in each member's Messages page under Community — think "new course is live" or "schedule change next week". It's one-way from you to members (members can't reply to a broadcast, though they can write to you separately and react to what you post).
You choose exactly who receives it: all members, active subscribers, free members, trial members, or the members on one specific plan. The composer shows a live recipient count for each audience before you send, and asks you to confirm the send with the audience and count spelled out.
Sending and recalling
Sent broadcasts are listed in the Broadcasts tab of your unified inbox (Members → Messages) along with how many members received each one.
Sent something by mistake? Open the broadcast in the inbox and use Recall — it removes the message from every member's inbox. Recall is best used quickly, since members online at the time may already have read it.
Step by step
- In the admin menu, open Members → Broadcasts.
- Write a title and a short message.
- Pick the audience — all members, active subscribers, free members, trial members, or a specific plan — and check the recipient count.
- Click Send message and confirm in the dialog.
- To take a broadcast back later, open it under Members → Messages → Broadcasts and click Recall.
Good to know
- A welcome broadcast is a great first message when you turn on the Community section.
- Per-plan audiences are perfect for messages that only concern one membership tier.
