Video comments: replies, likes, reports and moderation

Every class has a comment section where members can post, reply, like, and attach images. You moderate with a report queue, reversible hiding, and deletion — and unanswered comments surface in your inbox.

How comments work for members

Signed-in members can comment under any class (up to 4,000 characters), reply to each other in threads, tap a heart to like a comment, and attach an image. When someone replies to a member's comment, the original author gets a notification in their bell with a link straight back to the conversation.

Your own replies stand out: comments from you carry an Admin badge, instructor comments carry an Instructor badge, and any reply posted by an AI assistant is clearly labeled with an AI badge — members always know who (or what) they're talking to.

Members can report, you decide

Any member can report a comment they find inappropriate and optionally say why. Reports are collected quietly — the comment stays visible until you act, and the same member can't spam-report the same comment twice.

Reported comments land in your moderation queue under Members → Moderation, grouped per comment with the author, the class it was posted on, the number of reports, and the reasons given.

Hide, restore, or delete

Hiding a comment removes it from every member-facing view — the class page, the community feed, and live chat — but keeps it on record so you can review or restore it later. Hiding also closes the open reports on it in one step. If a report doesn't warrant action, dismiss it and the comment stays up.

You can also delete any comment outright, and members can always delete their own. Deletion is permanent; hiding is reversible — when in doubt, hide first.

Never miss a question

Member comments that haven't received an answer from you are gathered in your unified inbox under Members → Messages, so questions left on videos don't slip through the cracks. Fast replies there are one of the strongest retention habits you can build.

Step by step

  1. Open Members → Moderation to see comments members have reported.
  2. Read the comment, the class it was posted on, and the report reasons.
  3. Click Hide to remove it from members (reversible), or dismiss the reports to keep it up.
  4. To answer unanswered comments, open Members → Messages and reply from the comments view.

Good to know

  • Hide instead of delete when you're unsure — you can always restore it.
  • Reply to comments within a day or two; it's the cheapest engagement win on the platform.
