Connect Stripe and create your membership plans

Link your own Stripe account so member payments go straight to you, then build the monthly or yearly plans — with optional free trials — that appear on your pricing page.

Why Stripe comes first

Nothing can be sold until Stripe is connected and at least one plan is live — it's the first item on your launch checklist. Payments go directly to your own Stripe account; we never touch your money or store your Stripe credentials.

Connecting your account

The easiest moment is step 2 of the setup wizard: click "Connect with Stripe" and log into your Stripe account. If you skipped it, you can connect anytime from the Payments section of your admin.

Building your plans

Under Payments → Membership plans, create your tiers — monthly and yearly are the common pair. For each plan you set the price, an optional number of free-trial days, and whether the plan is public (shown on your pricing page) or private (hidden). Drag plans into the order you want them displayed.

With a free trial, members enter their card up front, get full access during the trial, and are billed automatically when it ends unless they cancel. A trial on your headline plan is the single biggest lever for first signups.

Preview how it all looks under Payments → Pricing page before you share the link.

Alternative checkout

If you already sell through ThriveCart or need PayPal at checkout, you can use ThriveCart as your checkout provider instead — set it up under Payments → Checkout providers.

Step by step

  1. In the setup wizard (or under Payments), click "Connect with Stripe".
  2. Log into your Stripe account and approve the connection.
  3. Open Payments → Membership plans and create your first plan.
  4. Set the price, billing interval, and optional free-trial days.
  5. Mark the plan as public and drag your plans into display order.
  6. Preview your pricing page under Payments → Pricing page.

Good to know

  • Mark at least one plan public — the launch checklist won't show payments as ready without it.
  • Add coupons later under Payments → Coupons for launches and win-back offers.
