Email members with your assistant
Turn on the email feature and the assistant can email one member or a small group for you. It always shows a preview of recipients and message first, waits for your yes, and stays within hard limits: 20 recipients per send, 100 emails per day.
Turn the feature on
Assistant email is off by default on every platform. To enable it, open Settings, go to Feature toggles, and in the Pages and sections card turn on 'Benny can send email' (the toggle shows your assistant's name). Until it is on, the assistant will decline to send email and point you to this setting.
How a send works
Tell the assistant who to email and what to say — for example 'email these eight members about the schedule change' or 'send a note to anna@example.com and the three newest members'. The assistant drafts the message and replies with a preview: the exact recipient list and the full subject and body. Nothing has been sent at this point.
Read the preview, ask for edits if you want, and say 'yes, send' when you are happy. Only then does the assistant send, and it reports back how many emails actually went out — and to whom.
Built-in protections
Hard limits are enforced on the server: at most 20 recipients per send and 100 emails per day for your platform. Recipients must be members of your platform — the assistant can never email arbitrary addresses — and members who are blocked or have unsubscribed are skipped automatically and reported to you.
Each email is also logged on that member's message thread in your admin, so you keep a per-member record of what was sent. Assistant email is for personal, targeted messages — it is deliberately not a bulk-marketing tool.

Step by step
- Go to Settings → Feature toggles and turn on 'Benny can send email' under Pages and sections.
- In the assistant chat, say who to email and what the message should say.
- Review the preview: exact recipients, subject, and full message text.
- Reply 'yes, send' to confirm — the assistant sends and reports how many went out.
Good to know
- Nothing is ever sent without your explicit confirmation — the first response is always a preview.
- If you hit the daily limit, it resets at midnight UTC; the assistant tells you how many sends remain.
