Save and send email templates with your assistant

Save emails you send often — like a welcome or win-back message — as named templates, then send them in seconds by name: 'send the welcome template to anna@example.com'. Placeholders personalize each copy automatically.

What templates are

An email template is a reusable message with a name, a subject, and a body — for example a 'Lifetime welcome' or a 'We miss you' note. Once saved, you (or the assistant) can send it to any member just by referring to its name, instead of rewriting the same email every time.

Templates support placeholders that are filled in per recipient: first name, full name, and your platform's name. That way a template sent to twelve people still reads like a personal note to each of them.

Create a template

You can manage templates on the Email templates page, found under Members in the admin sidebar: give the template a name, a subject, and the body text, then save.

Or skip the page entirely: paste your text into the assistant chat and say 'save this as an email template'. The assistant asks what to call it and saves it for you. It can also list your existing templates, update them, or delete ones you no longer need.

Send a template

Tell the assistant something like 'send the lifetime welcome template to anna@example.com'. Sending a template works exactly like any assistant email: you get a preview with the exact recipients and the rendered message, and nothing goes out until you confirm.

The same protections apply — the 'Benny can send email' feature must be on, sends are capped at 20 recipients each and 100 emails per day, and blocked or unsubscribed members are skipped automatically.

Step by step

  1. Make sure 'Benny can send email' is turned on under Settings → Feature toggles.
  2. Open Email templates under Members in the admin sidebar, or paste text to the assistant and say 'save this as an email template'.
  3. Give the template a name, subject and body — use placeholders for first name to personalize it.
  4. To send: tell the assistant 'send the [template name] template to …', check the preview, and confirm.

Good to know

  • Name templates after their job — 'New member welcome', 'Win-back' — so they are easy to call up in chat.
  • Test a new template by sending it to your own email address first.
