The access model: free, members-only, and package-only content

Every class has one of three access levels — free for everyone, members only, or unlocked only through a package — letting you mix open tasters, core membership content, and premium add-ons.

Three access levels

Free for everyone: the class is watchable without an account or payment — great for tasters and marketing.

Members only (gated): the default. Anyone with an active membership can watch — that means an active subscription through your checkout, or free access you granted manually.

Only via package: the class is reserved for people who own a specific package. It stays locked for regular members, giving you a second revenue stream on top of the subscription.

Where you set it

Set a class's access level from the Videos list (quick edit) or on the class page under the Access tab. Courses and collections can also be sold as package-only, so a whole program is reserved for buyers.

Hidden classes are a separate control: a hidden class never appears to members regardless of access level.

Public and private packages

Packages (bundles) group classes or a course into something people buy once — or receive free. A Public package appears on your site for purchase; a Private package is hidden from the storefront, so the only way in is you granting it manually.

Owning a package grants an entitlement to exactly that package's content — nothing more, nothing less.

Good to know

  • A free package that captures an email address doubles as a lead magnet — those people appear in your members list as leads.
  • If a member reports a locked class, check three things on their profile: subscription status, the Free access toggle, and their Packages card.
  • You can ask the AI assistant "why does this member see the paywall?" and it will walk the access chain for you.
