Message a single member by email (Member messages)

Turn on Member messages to get a chat-style card on each member's admin page. Every message you write is delivered to that one member by email, and the thread shows whether it was sent, blocked or failed.

Personal email, without leaving the admin

Member messages adds a chat window to the top of each member's detail page. You write a message, click Send, and it's delivered to that member's email address from your own sender address — while the thread in the admin keeps a record of everything you've sent.

It's strictly one-to-one: this feature never sends bulk email, and it respects a member's choice to turn off communication. Each message in the thread shows a delivery status — Sent, Blocked (the member has turned off communication) or Failed — so you always know whether it actually went through.

Turning it on and using it

The feature is off by default. Enable it under Settings → Pages and sections, then open any member from the Members list — the message card sits at the top of their page.

You can also involve the AI assistant (Benny by default — you can rename it): ask it to draft the message, approve the text, and let it send. Assistant sends land in the same thread, so the full history stays in one place.

Step by step

  1. Go to Settings → Pages and sections and turn on "Member messages".
  2. Open Members in the admin and click a member.
  3. Write your message in the chat card at the top of their page.
  4. Click Send — the message goes out by email and appears in the thread with its delivery status.

Good to know

  • Set up your own sender domain first (Settings → Domain & email) so these emails come from your brand.
  • A short personal note to a member who has gone quiet is one of the cheapest win-back tools you have.
